About Me.
Hi, I’m Christine “Chris” Townes, a longtime resident of Pelham, Alabama, a proud mother of five boys—including two United States Marines—and a woman of deep faith and conservative values. I believe in putting “God First” in all things, and that mindset guides every part of my life.
We’re a proud baseball family, and from January to June, you can usually find me at the ballpark cheering from the sidelines. But beyond the field, I’ve spent years dedicated to serving others and building community. I’ve volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, worked alongside state representatives in civic and community roles, and served in ministry outreach at Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women through the Alabama Department of Corrections.
I believe strongly in the Lord’s providence. It was through much prayer and reflection that I felt led to run for office. My decision is rooted in a desire to serve Pelham with honesty, boldness, and integrity—and to bring God back into public discourse in a meaningful and unifying way.

Dedicated to improving Pelham’s parks and recreational areas, particularly by elevating our baseball parks into top-tier venues for both local and regional play. With a focus on community and family, we envision lively spaces where families bond, children flourish, and Pelham stands out. Our aim is to make Pelham not just an excellent place to live, but also a destination that draws visitors and highlights the pride of our residents.

With a God First mentality, prioritizing values-based leadership in decision. The best results come from collaboration with fellow City Council members, the Mayor, City Manager, and residents.
